Nicolette and Andy’s first date was a three hour climb to the top of Mt Warning, so it was very fitting that they celebrated their wedding at Mavis’s Kitchen in Uki, overlooking this beautiful mountain.
Preparations took place in Coorabell at two spectacular properties (as you would expect… Nicky is the Director of Unique Estates). Everyone knows that this is a stunning part of the country, but it takes on a whole new level when viewed from a vantage as gorgeous as these. I have never seen Mavis’s Kitchen look as good as it did on Friday. Guests were greeted with a rustic bar made of old wheelbarrows and wooden kegs when they stepped off The Magic Bus from Byron Bay. Petals lined a pathway from the carpark to the marquee by the lake where the ceremony took place.
Another marquee was the setting for two long banquet tables seating 140 guests and styled beautifully with a vintage feel. Not only were the guests treated to some of the best food the region has to offer, they also enjoyed the sultry sounds of Miss Renee Simone during both the ceremony and the meals. After the meals and speeches were completed, everyone rocked out to Goodrich in the barn. This wedding had it all, a lolly bar, a polaroid table and a crowd of some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet!
