Melinda and Jonathan were married in the gorgeous open chapel The Abbey in the Tweed hinterland village of Cobaki. It was a gorgeous day filled with love and laughter… in fact I don’t think I’ve been to a wedding where the bride laughed as much as Melinda did. Usually when I’m editing images from a wedding I tend to get a little emotional and this wedding was no exception except that there were just as many belly laughs as there were tears. For me, it was a truly lovely experience.

Rebecca and Jason’s wedding was simply beautiful! The preparations for both bride and groom were held in stunning locations at The Pocket and Mullumbimby and the venue for the ceremony and reception was divine.
The boys got ready at Jason’s Dads property at The Pocket and I think I may have been a little bit like a kid in a candy store. The property was bursting with picturesque locations to shoot in. Below are just a couple of my favourites.
The girls preparations were in Mullumbimby at Rebecca’s family home and just across the road were two trees that I think framed the bridal portraits and Bec’s family images beautifully.
The Abbey, in the Tweed Heads hinterland village of Cobaki, boasts a gorgeous open-air chapel beside a lake and surrounded by trees and wildlife. The chapel floods with light and is an absolute joy to shoot in. This was my first time shooting a wedding at The Abbey, but I’m very happy to say that it won’t be long before I return.
