We didn’t always include a complimentary engagement shoot with our wedding packages. Quite often, we would book a couple at a Bridal Show or meet them briefly at a pre-wedding session and then we didn’t see them again until the big day. It just… didn’t feel right.
And so, it was probably this time last year, when we were rethinking our wedding packages, that we thought: ‘how about including an engagement shoot?’ You see, we really like to get to know our clients. It is so important that we get a feel for the type of people Rich photographs and that our clients get a chance to explore their creative ideas for their wedding photography before the day. This is especially important when Rich shoots out of town and has been recommended by another supplier. Rich was introduced to Rosemary & Dale by Monica of TML Media, and because they booked us on a recommendation, he didn’t have a chance to meet them.
Luckily, while he was in Sydney for work this week, Rosemary & Dale came in to Darling Harbour to discuss details of their wedding and shoot their engagement session. These guys seem super easy going, look really comfortable in front of the camera and I know Rich had a great time shooting around the newly developed Darling Harbour precinct. They spent the afternoon strolling around looking for pockets of slightly less populated areas to shoot in… including a carousel! Here is a small sampling from the shoot. Look out for Rosemary & Dale’s wedding images in November.
