If you were anywhere near Bangalow on Friday night and weren’t at the A&I Hall, you surely missed out on a great show. Local crooner Rhydian Lewis along with eight piece band The Swinging Residuals, put on an incredible show to the delight of all in attendance. Local swing dancers were kicking up their heels as Rhydian paid tribute to Michael Bublè, with an evening of Bublè’s music along with tales of the crooner’s life and how he has influenced and shaped Rhydian’s life and career.
Rhydian and the band will be performing the show a number of times between Lismore and Brisbane before the end of the year. If it comes to a venue near you, make sure you treat yourself to a night of wonderful music with these incredibly talented musicians.

What an incredible day! Lorna & Nathan’s wedding was the most emotionally filled day I have experienced in a very long time. The day was filled with joy and laughter as the couple prepared for the big day surrounded by their closest friends and family. There were no signs of panic or stress anywhere and the entire day just seemed to unfold casually and calmly. Everyone was ready long before deadline, with Lorna being fully dressed and ready to go about 90 minutes before the ceremony was scheduled to start. I think the couple were both so eager they simply wanted to become husband and wife as soon as they possibly could.
After the ceremony at St. Kevins, the bridal party and I strolled around Bangalow, stopping traffic and shooting at some of Bangalow’s popular sights. We all had a great time at Heath’s Old Wares and I can’t thank the owners enough for their warm reception and assistance during the shoot. They were incredible (if you are in Bangalow, make sure you pop into Heath’s).
The reception was held in Bangalow’s A & I Hall and the emotions continued to flow. The groom’s speech had everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) in the hall in tears. It was absolutely beautiful! Once everyone had dried their tears, the reception carried on with plenty of good food, great music and some stunning traditional Pacific Island dancing and customs.

Earlier this week Lorna, Nathan and I managed to squeeze in a couple of hours between rain showers to shoot their engagement session in and around Bangalow. The 4th of July is a big day for celebrations for our North American friends, but this year it will be an even bigger day for Lorna and Nathan. The couple are to be married at St Kevins Catholic Church in Bangalow and then celebrate the event with a reception at Bangalow’s famous (and freshly painted) A&I Hall.

Laura & Corey were married a few weeks ago at the stunning Bangalow Guesthouse. The Guesthouse is the perfect venue for a garden wedding with gorgeous grounds and luxurious rooms for all of the preparations. Laura and her bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning… and were only occasionally upstaged by the beautiful flowergirls.
The reception was held in Bangalow’s historic A&I Hall. Multi-talented Rhydian Lewis provided the entertainment for the evening, and also joined me earlier in the day photographing the event.
